The second-hand marketplace Users Share Frustration About Sizing Updates
Shoppers are voicing their frustration following a change that caused items being listed as the wrong size.
The second-hand shopping app has altered its size classifications for women's and children's clothes but did not contact all users about the change.
Online Platforms Response
Countless users and merchants have taken to social media claiming that product pages now present a modified sizing category versus the original listing as a result of the reclassification.
The platform stated the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces.
The platform has recommended to examine their items and manually change the size when needed, which has left users frustrated.
Size Classification Changes
Before the change, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, like S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter with a size spectrum like S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.

A fashion influencer, who creates plus-size fashion videos, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Stephanie Gallen, located in Scotland, explained products she uploaded on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they will likely be quite upset," she said.
Required Changes
Another shopper, from Derby, said she had been left angered due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizes on "every single listing".
"This situation is especially annoying, because of my ongoing medical condition and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she said.
Marketplace Information
The platform boasts over 100 million users, with 18 million British users.
It has proved a popular alternative to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time when a surprising modification within the service has received backlash: earlier, Vinted reversed a change regarding delivery choices due to shopper criticism.
