"It's a bit different but then, I love running and just go forward - I'm not staying back that much," he added.

"I tell my centre-back 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to keep running.

"The running is what I'm looking for. It's good fun."

In addition to Cisse's six scores on debut, Stephen Ireland has scored eight in 3 games for Wythenshawe, while George Boyd hit 5 on his debut match and Lescott, a defender by position, scored a triple in one match up front.

Wythenshawe are leading of the Top Tier with three wins from 3 and a GD of plus nineteen.

Paul Barrow, 38, who features on the wing for the opposition, faced ex- Wigan defender Maynor Figueroa on the weekend - and had to explain his nine-year-old son who Emile Heskey was.

"It was going round like a rumor they had all these ex-Premier League players," remarked the player.

"I think I was a little awestruck facing him to be honest.

"Also Heskey got on and he's has over 60 England appearances.

"Our side held our own for a solid twenty mins but then we had a man sent off and it was hard.

"We literally have not ceased talking about it - I was calling my mother and brother on the way home.

"The opponents were all really nice, shaking our hands after the match - it was like facing a group of regular guys.

"Now we can't wait for the second fixture."
