In a bizarre partnership that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "An unusual encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome changes echo through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine group.
The mission centers on "strange trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Additional Content
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
